📋 Terms of Service

Your agreement to use our services

These terms apply to all bots operated under the Meow Bots umbrella: Meow Bot, Cat Cafe Economy Bot, Meow Manager, and Twitch Meow Bot (collectively, "the Bots").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By adding any of the Bots to your Discord server or using their features, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Bots. Your continued use following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Description of Services

Meow Bots provides Discord bots offering:

  • Meow and bark counting with leaderboards (Meow Bot, Twitch Meow Bot)
  • A coin-based economy system with games, shops, and profiles (Cat Cafe Economy)
  • Anonymous confessions, quotes, reaction roles, and welcome messages (Meow Bot)
  • Server management, tickets, reminders, moderation, XP ranking, and logging (Meow Manager)
  • Twitch stream tracking and notifications

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Bots in compliance with all applicable laws and Discord's Terms of Service
  • Not exploit, hack, or manipulate the Bots or their systems
  • Not use the Bots for harassment, scams, or illegal activities
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to bot systems or data
  • Not spam commands excessively or use automated tools to manipulate features
  • Respect other users and play fairly

You are entirely responsible for any content you create through the Bots, including confessions, quotes, messages, and ticket content.

4. Server Owner Responsibilities

Server owners and administrators agree to:

  • Inform members that the Bots may collect data as described in our Privacy Policy
  • Use the Bots in accordance with Discord's Terms of Service
  • Configure the Bots appropriately for their server's needs
  • Handle moderation data (confession logs, tickets) responsibly
  • Not use the Bots to facilitate illegal activities

5. User-Generated Content

You retain all rights to content you create. By using the Bots, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute that content within Discord servers where you've submitted it. Content submitted through anonymous features (confessions) may be identifiable to server administrators through logs for moderation purposes. Server administrators reserve the right to remove content that violates server rules.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE BOTS ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

  • Continuous uptime, availability, or error-free operation
  • Accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information
  • Data persistence, backup, or security from all threats
  • Fitness for a particular purpose

⚠️ Beta Features

Some features (including Cat Cafe Economy and Twitch Meow Bot) are currently in Beta. Features may change, data may be wiped, and stability is not guaranteed.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, coins, items, revenue, or business opportunities
  • Bot unavailability or downtime
  • Actions of other users or unauthorized access

This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Changes to the Bots

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, update, or discontinue any Bot or feature at any time
  • Change economy values, coin rates, or item prices
  • Wipe data if necessary for security or system reasons
  • Restrict or remove access for any user or server

9. Account Suspension

We may suspend or ban users who violate these terms, exploit bugs, engage in fraud or abuse, or violate Discord's Terms of Service. Suspensions are at our sole discretion with no guarantee of appeal.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Bot operators and developers from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your use of the Bots, your violation of these Terms, applicable laws, or third-party rights.

11. Third-Party Services

The Bots integrate with Discord and Twitch. You acknowledge that:

  • Discord's and Twitch's Terms of Service and Privacy Policies apply
  • The Bots are not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord Inc. or Twitch
  • Third-party service issues are not our responsibility

12. Intellectual Property

All Meow Bots are owned by Firefly Designs. The bots' code, design, and features are protected intellectual property. Users may not redistribute, clone, or commercialize the Bots.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Bot operators regarding the Bots and supersede all prior agreements.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws. Disputes should be resolved informally first by contacting us.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be announced when possible.
